present Tod's Re-Generation
Tod's Academy continues to support new generations of creatives with Tod's Re-Generation, in collaboration with Marangoni Institute of Milan and Florence. Chapter two of the initiative has as its main objective the reinterpretation of brand codes in a sustainable perspective.
This collaboration strengthens Tod's commitment to upcoming generations, once again demonstrating the value of giving young students in training the opportunity to express themselves and developing the work of Tod's Academy. Tod's Academy is a laboratory of ideas based at the brands headquarters in the Marche Region of Italy, a place where innovative concepts meet the know-how of Tod's, and where artisans accompany and help young people develop their skills.
Twenty International students are the protagonists of this initiative, each of whom has developed a unique creative expression with a particular focus on the theme of sustainability, exploring aspects of design as well as aspects of Tod's productive processes thanks to the opportunity of coming close up to the brand's company reality and to the expertise of its artisans.
During a special experience in the Brancadoro Headquarters, the students presented their final projects and their personal reinterpretations of Tod's most iconic pieces. From the Gommino to the T Timeless symbol, the projects offer new readings of Tod's heritage through a responsible approach.
The theme of sustainability becomes an imperative one and provides the foundation, for all present and future initiatives, that the company has been taking on, to look ahead into the future with a respectful attitude towards the environment and work. The students have been guided into their creative processes by six International mentors. Laura Brown- Editor in Chief of InStyle USA; Tonne Goodman- Sustainability editor at Vogue USA; Gert Jonkers- Editor in Chief of Fantastic Man; Gianluca Longo- Style Editor of British Vogue and Style Director of The World oF Interiors; Simone Marchetti- Editor in chief of Vanity Fair Italia and European editorial director Vanity Fair; Sara Sozzani Maino- Head of Special Projects Vogue Italia and International Brand Ambassador for the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, have offered their experience and knowledge in support and advice to the young creatives. In the context of this collaboration each student was offered a scholarship, in the form of a concrete contribution to their studies and personal professional development.
